In the lap of Nature

        On a cosy holiday i decided to take my family out to a place where we can spend some quality time and get relaxed to get rid of daily routine life. So opted for Astha Nature Home which is 22 km away from Bongaigaon. It is situated at Abhayapuri town, Bamungaon of Bongaigaon District.

        As the name suggests Astha spellbinds the feeling of entering into a Nature Home and you are in the lap of Nature. The entrance which welcomes you is beautifully shaped with green plants. If you look inside, you will get a beautiful panoramic view including small hills in the backdrop of planted forest trees.

        There is a small pond or a lake like wetland with static water, where you can do boating. You can also enjoy angling/fishing which Astha provides. A lawn is made adjacent to the lake where children’s play zone is there.

        At Astha Nature Home there is a Food House (restaurant) on the bank of Astha lake. You can have your meal – breakfast, lunch, dinner etc. here where local delicacies and other cuisines are served.

        Astha Nature Home is not like other resorts where you will get exclusive amenities but definitely it is like a Nature Trail where wooden cottages and houses will make you feel Day/Night staying comfort. The wooden cottages and houses are on the bank of lake where you can let yourself go ease. No doubt you can either paint a picture or write a poem amidst the quiet environment :)

How to reach:  From Guwahati to Bongaigaon –

                        180 km via NH 31 (Barpeta)  210 km via NH 37 (Goalpara)

Nearest Railway Station is New Bongaigaon which is approx. 24 km away from
Astha Nature Home.
Nearest Airport is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Borjhar, Guwahati.

If you come from Bongaigaon you will get Abhayapuri Thana then Abhayapuri College then Rajbari. A few meters  away  take left turn (you will see a guiding board over there towards Ashta Nature Home) from here Astha is approx. 2.5 km to reach, sign boards are there to guide you ahead.

Best Time:  Throughout the year yet avoid monsoon.
Nearby Places : Kakoijana Eco Park, Kakoijana Reserved Forest, Lalmati Duramari Ganesh Temple etc.
